Senior System Architect Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based production servers, primarily Ubuntu. This includes configuring, optimizing, and securing NGINX for web servers, reverse proxies, and load balancing.

You will build and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure for web platforms and APIs, automate infrastructure provisioning using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools, and develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments.

Server security, hardening, firewall configuration, and system monitoring are also key responsibilities. Regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery planning must be performed to ensure business continuity.

Troubleshooting infrastructure issues, including networking, DNS, and SSL/TLS, is a critical aspect of this role. Collaboration with development teams to implement DevOps best practices is essential.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Expert-level knowledge of Linux systems, especially Ubuntu Server
  • Strong experience configuring and optimizing NGINX for various use cases
  • Proven track record in server management, hardening, and system monitoring
  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS management, and SSL/TLS configuration
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker required, Kubernetes a plus)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar
  • Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent
  • Strong scripting abilities in Bash (Python is a plus)
  • Experience setting up secure, high-availability, production-grade environments
  • Solid focus on system security, data backups, and disaster recovery
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration platforms
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
  • Knowledge of serverless or microservices architecture
