As a skilled Principal Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of complex systems. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and utility systems, including compressors, cooling towers, pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, fans, motors, switchgears, generators, and grid stations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Operation: Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and utility systems is required. Proficiency in maintenance methodologies such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition-Based Maintenance, and Time-Bound Maintenance.
  • Project Management: Ability to design mechanical and electrical systems, make modifications to meet process requirements, and manage capex projects within timelines and budgets.
  • Inventory Management: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems is required, including evaluating critical store items, QEMs for material selection, and following up on deliveries through developing machine parts lists and updating statuses regularly.
  • Contractor Management: Capable of dealing with contractors to execute project jobs within timelines and budgets, including developing contracts for petty jobs, evaluating contractor bids, QEMs, and billings.
  • People Management: Ability to lead teams across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, and civil disciplines, fostering coordination among departments, providing technical guidance, and building effective teams.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Responsible for ensuring adherence to company policies, sharing ideas for continuous improvement projects, conserving energy through process optimization, preparing feasibility reports and BOQs, overseeing procurement, and ensuring safe project execution.
Requirements
  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics
  • Prior experience in petrochemical, fertilizer, process, food, or cement industries.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in O&M of electrical & mechanical installations
  • Deep knowledge of O&M of Mechanical & Electrical systems, maintenance methodologies, reliability management, and people development
  • Proficiency in ERP systems including Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD, & Power BI for preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Understanding of international standards like EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO, and Food Safety
