We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Technologist to join our Clinical Laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily administrative and technical tasks in assigned sections, ensuring compliance with laboratory protocol and policy guidelines.
A key aspect of this role is the ability to handle staffing matters, attendance, discipline, and counselling, while also communicating critical results and documenting accordingly.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BSC in Biological Science (4 years Program), preferably with a Master's degree. Additionally, they should have 3 years of experience as a Senior Technologist at a reputable institution or 10 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and Medical Technology developments is essential, along with good employee relations skills.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily administrative and technical tasks in assigned sections according to laboratory policies and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory protocol and policy guidelines.
- Handle staffing matters, attendance, discipline, and counselling.
- Communicate critical results and document accordingly.
- Perform routine and STAT clinical laboratory tests or procedures.
- Authorize reports when required.
- Ensure CAP & JCIA standards are met.
- Requirements:
- BS/BSC in Biological Science (4 years Program), Masters preferred.
- 3 years as Senior Technologist at AKU or 10 years of relevant experience.
- Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.
- Knowledge of Medical Technology developments.
- Good employee relations skills.
