Backend Software Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and building high-performance systems, with expertise in Golang and other similar languages.

This role involves developing and maintaining APIs and connectivity modules to external venues (REST, WebSocket, FIX), as well as integrating with crypto or financial trading venues. A strong understanding of cloud-native development, Docker, CI/CD, and performance testing is essential for success in this position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing scalable and efficient software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new features.
  • Maintaining and improving existing codebases to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting complex technical issues, and implementing fixes to resolve these issues.

Key skills and qualifications for this role include:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, with a focus on high-performance systems.
  • Proficiency in Golang or similar languages (e.g., C++, Rust, C#).
  • Experience integrating with crypto or financial trading venues (CeFi or DeFi).
  • Familiarity with WebSocket, REST, and FIX APIs.
  • Background in cloud-native development, Docker, CI/CD, and performance testing.
