Senior Shopify Developer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Shopify Developer to lead and execute eCommerce projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining Shopify sites and applications, with experience in custom themes and Apps, as well as integration with Third Party Services.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet business needs, while ensuring compliance with coding standards and industry best practices. Additionally, they will mentor junior developers, optimize site performance, and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Shopify eCommerce sites and applications, including custom themes and Apps
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs
  • Lead and execute Shopify development projects from start to finish
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers
  • Optimize site performance and ensure the best possible user experience
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as needed
  • Keep up to date with Shopify best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies
Requirements

To be considered for this role, the candidate should have:

  • Deep technical knowledge of Shopify and how to setup stores from scratch
  • Sound knowledge of Shopify REST APIs and Shopify Templates, and Shopify coding technology
  • Experience with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and app development
  • Experience with Shopify Apps and their integration with the Shopify ecosystem
  • Technical knowledge of Shopify Flow
  • Deep understanding of Shopify for B2C, and B2B (Wholesalers)
  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Additionally, experience with other eCommerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce is a plus.
