Job Title: Senior System Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, performance, and reliability of our production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure overall health and performance of production environment
  • Design and implement systems for operating Dubizzle emphasizing automation and maintainability at large scale
  • Build and optimize large CI/CD pipelines with experience in GitHub Actions and Jenkins
  • Collaborate with development teams on operational issues providing support and acting as a stakeholder
  • Maintain production-like environments for development and testing to ensure fast and reliable deployment experiences
  • Develop monitoring tools for custom applications in a large-scale environment
  • Troubleshoot issues across hardware software application and network layers
  • Migrate applications from legacy environments with minimal downtime
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Document system design and operational procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field with significant DevOps experience
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification
  • 5+ years supporting hosted services in high-volume customer-facing environments
  • Experience with DevOps tools processes culture and supporting mission-critical distributed systems
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Programming skills in high-level languages such as Go Ruby Python or Bash
  • 4+ years managing infrastructure at scale with Kubernetes
  • Experience migrating traditional stacks to AWS EKS or similar platforms
