
Compensation Specialist for Client Payroll Services

The Compensation Specialist will oversee compensation operations for multiple clients, ensuring accurate and compliant processing according to UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Client Compensation Management: Manage end-to-end compensation processing for multiple clients, ensuring timely and accurate execution according to client-specific requirements.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure client compensations comply with HMRC requirements, including PAYE, NIC, statutory payments, and pensions.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the team, providing training and support to ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding compensation queries, updates, and consultations on compensation-related matters.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess compensation processes to streamline and improve accuracy, addressing any pain points unique to client compensations.
- Reporting and Reconciliation: Generate accurate compensation reports for clients, and perform compensation account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies with finance teams as needed.
- Year-End and Statutory Reporting: Oversee year-end compensation activities for clients, including P60s, P11Ds, and any other statutory reporting.
- System Management: Utilize and maintain compensation software, ensuring data integrity and customization as required by individual clients.
- Quality Assurance: Implement checks and controls to ensure compensation accuracy and compliance, and regularly update compensation processes to align with changing legislation.
- Proven experience as a Compensation Specialist or Manager, ideally within a professional services or client compensation environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK compensation regulations, HMRC compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience with compensation software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client compensations and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build client relationships and explain complex compensation issues clearly.
- Professional certifications in compensation (e.g., CIPP or ACCA) are highly desirable.
