Job Title: Senior Category Manager – FMCG Near Food

In July 2012, METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale businesses in Pakistan, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership.

The merger enabled METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources, leverage financial strength, and gain synergies targeted at generating value for customers and suppliers alike. Today, the company operates ten wholesale centers across Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, METRO Cash & Carry, which boasts over 750 stores in 25 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa. The company employs a workforce of over 107,000 employees worldwide. With sales exceeding 37 billion Euros in 2016/17, METRO remains a prominent player in the industry.

Job Description:
  • Develop product offerings within the Home and Personal care categories based on local market needs.
  • Identify and establish relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions, ordering processes, and reordering strategies.
  • Formulate plans that balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • Stay informed about external trends and benchmarks, translating them into future plans and measures.
  • Apply knowledge of business strategies, strengths, and opportunities to drive growth and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university.
Additional Information:
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in the FMCG sector.
