Project Management Specialist

Job Description

The Project Management Specialist plays a vital role in the management of solar projects from land sales to utility applications.

  • Manage project intake meetings, perform due diligence on project documents and initiate the utility application process as per established procedure.
  • Submit project applications to the relevant utility company, administer NES databases for all utility companies and projects, and coordinate dialogue between internal stakeholders for timely communication of project status.
  • Act as liaison between departments to ensure accountability and deliverables are met, follow up with utility companies when required, and monitor deadlines for utility applications.
  • Understand the scope of work, schedule field work for assigned tasks, upload and track utility documents for applications, and submit critical project compliance documents to utilities and administrative bodies.
  • Provide support to senior project coordinators, Utility Project Manager, and NES teams by assessing project utility costs to assist the finance department, revising and improving project process related documents and training materials, and creating and following up on Purchase Orders for project specific payments.

  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
    • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
    • Proficient in using database software, particularly NES databases.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management or a related field.
