Job Overview

The Network Operations Manager position requires a highly skilled professional to oversee the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of medium to large networks. This includes design, management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network systems using industry-standard platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies, as well as managing networks with industry-standard platforms, network performance analysis, and Cisco IOS network configuration and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and operate tier 2 routing and switching devices according to standardized protocols;
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, including those related to security, cryptography, and network operations;
  • Use Remedy to track and report issues associated with network and system operations;
  • Monitor and sustain network operations, ensuring high-quality services and real-time network-level configuration control;
  • Manage encryption equipment used on the network, ensuring secure communication and safeguarding configuration and 'user-level' maintenance of Ethernet and serial encryption devices;
  • Install and maintain network wireless equipment to support new and emerging requirements;
  • Provide responsive services, including real-time network-level configuration control, wireless network restoration, quality control, and performance standards;
Deliverables

The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting the Network Configuration Data Sheet and Tier 2 Network Diagrams for both NIPR and SIPR on a monthly basis.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, with 6-9 years of experience in network operations, management, and maintenance. An IAT-II Certification is also required. Preferred qualifications include one or more CCNP certifications: Collaboration, Data Center, Enterprise, or Service Provider.
