Job Title: Laboratory Trainee

Job Description:

The successful candidate will assist the lead perfumer in creating and refining fragrance formulations, ensuring that they align with client briefs and market demands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Measuring, mixing, and preparing raw materials for fragrance compositions, adhering to precise formulations and quality standards.
  • Preparing samples for testing, including measuring and mixing raw materials, diluting fragrances, and creating different product formulations.
  • Assisting fragrance chemists and perfumers in their research and development activities, helping with experiments and formulations.
  • Recording and organizing data from experiments, ensuring that all results are accurately documented for further analysis.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, ensuring that all tools and instruments are in good working order.
  • Participating in sensory testing or quality control processes, helping to assess the fragrance's characteristics and performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
  • Fresh or 1 year experience in a related field.
  • High precision weighing experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
