Job Overview

The AI Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in the electrical engineering team by identifying, evaluating, and recommending materials, components, and vendors for project requirements. This position ensures technical compatibility, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and procurement experts to optimize sourcing strategies. They will assist in optimizing and standardizing electrical component selection to balance cost, performance, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Electrical Design Team with assembly drawings creations for complete equipment schedule to reduce processing time for equipment take offs with Esticom.
  • Coordinate with Procurement for regular updates to Procore cost catalog and assemblies.
  • Review Esticom take offs and generate a complete BOM and BOQ for a project.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on technical compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review vendor technical documentation, material specifications, and certifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, procurement, supply chain, or vendor evaluation within the electrical industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and related Autodesk software, as well as ERP systems (SAP, Procore, Oracle, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data-driven decision-making tools or AI-driven procurement technologies.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, other engineering/design team members, and management.

  • Ability to apply innovative and creative skills to problem solving.
  • Experience with on-site technology troubleshooting and automation of manual processes.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code regarding PV Solar Systems.
