About This Role

The Chief Financial Officer will manage the finance team, oversee financial plans and direct the preparation of financial statements. They will ensure that the company's financial resources are allocated efficiently to maximize returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign tasks to the finance team based on current requirements, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Evaluate financial plans and risk management plans for validity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and government agency reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Administer sales and profit projections compared to actual figures, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Compare budgeted expenses to actual expenses and make necessary adjustments to optimize resource allocation.
  • Oversight of financial planning to achieve maximum profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion through new product areas or strategic partnerships.
  • Expand business investment opportunities through banks to raise additional capital for growth initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certifications in Finance and Business, such as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 3-5 years experience as a CFO in the Retail industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • 8-10 years total accounting or financial management experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate financial law and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in ERP, Risk Management, and budgeting systems, with proficiency in financial database software.
  • Problem solver and critical thinker, able to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.
