Accounting Support Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Support Specialist to support our organization's financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expense postings.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarize yourself with import working documentation, including letters of credit, contracts, and costing of imported materials, to maintain effective inventory management.
  • File monthly sales tax returns and prepare sales tax challans in accordance with tax regulations.
  • File quarterly withholding statements and prepare withholding challans to ensure timely payment processing.
  • Maintain accounts payable, ensuring timely payment processing and reducing outstanding balances.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, tracking and following up on outstanding invoices to minimize write-offs.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of stock, sales, purchases, and production records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Additional tasks as assigned to support the organization's financial operations.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Com) or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles.
  2. At least 1-2 years of continuous experience in a single organization as an Account Assistant/Accountant, showcasing expertise in daily accounting transactions and financial processes.
  3. In-depth understanding of daily accounting transactions and financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  4. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel to efficiently manage financial data and perform complex calculations.
  5. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, enabling effective time management and prioritization.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, allowing for accurate decision-making and resolution of financial discrepancies.
  7. Able to work independently and meet deadlines, demonstrating self-motivation and a results-driven attitude.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
