Responsibilities

Achieving Academic Excellence

  • Promote a culture of mutual and continuous learning, respect, collaboration, and coordination within the school community.
  • Develop and implement a school improvement plan based on need analysis and ensure its successful implementation.
  • Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and formal/informal classroom observations.
  • Enhance teacher quality through demo sessions and constant feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and monitor their progress regularly.
  • Organize and manage co-curricular activities, timetables, assemblies, periods, displays, libraries, and laboratories efficiently.
  • Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty members.
  • Conduct term tests and examinations transparently and on time.

Administrative Roles

  • Establish strong relationships with the local community to promote education for both male and female children.
  • Maintain an optimal student strength in the school through effective enrollment strategies.
  • Facilitate outreach programs for teachers and maintain an up-to-date CV bank.
  • Coordinate staff hiring, retention, performance management, and other HR-related matters with the Area and Regional HR team.
  • Sustain school discipline and foster positive character development among students and staff.
  • Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
  • Supervise the administration assistant in accounting and other tasks.
  • Maintain accurate school accounts and stay updated.
  • Ensure timely supply and management of utility services.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor on board-related matters.
  • Familiarize yourself with TCF policies and ensure school activities align with them.
  • Submit reports and documents promptly.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess demonstrated leadership skills, perseverance, effective communication, relationship-building, and a passion for serving as a positive change agent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Graduate degree.
  • Preferred: B.Ed. and M.Ed. qualifications.

Experience

At least 2 years of teaching experience and 6 months of experience in senior roles or administration.
