Job Title: Department Manager

This role oversees the operational management of a designated department, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage labor and other litigation as assigned by the Head of Legal to guarantee compliance and minimize risk.
  2. Administer statutory requirements across all company facilities nationwide to maintain regulatory adherence.
  3. Establish effective liaison with local governmental and non-governmental bodies to foster collaboration and partnerships.
  4. Ccoordinate with third-party service providers to enhance efficiency and quality.
  5. Design Human Resource Policy frameworks in compliance with prevailing laws to ensure adaptability and scalability.
  6. Implement HR policies through administration of employee discipline and grievance handling mechanisms to promote a positive work environment.
  7. Acquire or dispose land for opening new stores/warehouses to support business growth.
  8. Assist the Head of Legal in contractual matters to optimize outcomes.
  9. Train and assist HR colleagues in employee grievances to develop their expertise.
  10. Conduct disciplinary proceedings when required to uphold fairness and transparency.
  11. Participate in meetings with unions regarding industrial disputes and negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
  12. Manage disciplinary issues according to applicable laws and company policies/guidelines to ensure consistency and justice.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Maintain confidentiality in interpersonal interactions to preserve trust and credibility.
  • Exhibit strong and effective communication (written, oral, and interpersonal) skills to foster collaboration and achieve objectives.
