Facilities Manager, Housekeeping Department

The Aga Khan University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Facilities Manager, Housekeeping Department. This role will be responsible for ensuring a hygienic, safe, and healthy work environment by supervising housekeeping activities and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
- Maintain constant awareness of the cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the hospital facilities.
- Coordinate project work and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
- Prepare daily supervisory inspection reports and forward them to senior staff members.
- Provide on-the-job training to housekeeping staff.
- Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance/Engineering Department promptly.
- Ensure safety and infection control standards are maintained at all times.
- Intermediate level qualification with at least 1 year of relevant field experience.
- Knowledge of hygiene, sanitary standards, and fumigation practices.
- Ability to motivate and discipline staff effectively to achieve team goals.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems efficiently.
