Assistant Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the Assistant Engineer role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and implementing all activities assigned by their Line Manager, AM/DM, and must be able to manage and supervise NMS teams for assigned tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing and implementing activities assigned by Line Manager, AM/DM;
  • Managing and supervising NMS teams for assigned tasks;
  • Assisting AM/DM and Manager effectively in carrying out maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, along with augmentation of grid-related equipment;
  • Reading and understanding electrical (control & protection) drawings/schemes as per instructions of immediate superiors;
  • Using essential maintenance tools and testing equipment correctly;
  • Maintaining discipline among staff, handling intra-departmental correspondence, and managing internal & external stakeholder relations;
  • Working under pressure and odd hours, especially during grid movements;
  • FOLLOWING safety rules and precautions diligently;
  • Possessing basic computer skills, including MS Office, and maintaining records of all maintenance activities at grids in coordination with line management;

Required Qualifications:

  • B. Tech/ DAE in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institute;
  • At least 2-3 years in a public sector utility or process industry preferred; other experience holders are encouraged to apply.
