Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and optimizing routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel costs and transit times.

  1. Route Optimization: Coordinate the movement of trucks, drivers, and shipments by analyzing routes to reduce travel time and expenses.
  2. Driver Assignments: Match drivers with specific routes and shipments based on their availability, experience, and compliance with regulations.
  3. Communication: Establish a communication network with drivers to provide updates, directions, and address any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
  4. Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing shipment status updates, and resolving service-related concerns promptly.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including shipment records, driver logs, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  6. Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve operational issues and challenges that may impact delivery schedules or driver performance.
  7. Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations and safety standards, ensuring that drivers and shipments adhere to these requirements.
