Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Assurance team as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues in software applications through rigorous testing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect life cycle, as well as experience with manual testing and automated testing tools.

Familiarity with REST APIs, version control systems, and SQL queries is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the functionality, performance, and stability of software.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Conduct regression testing, performance testing, and usability testing.
  • Ensure the software meets quality standards and follows best practices in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Provide feedback on product usability and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA retrospectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Experience with manual testing and automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, version control systems, and SQL queries.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • ISTQB or relevant QA certification is a plus.
