Desktop Application Developer

We are seeking a skilled Software Craftsman to design, develop and maintain an application that collects data from air quality sensors.

The role requires strong expertise in desktop application development, data handling and real-time data processing. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a robust desktop application to interface with air quality sensors, implementing data collection modules to gather real-time air quality metrics, integrating Kafka for data streaming and ensuring seamless data transfer to servers.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, proven experience in desktop application development using technologies such as C#, Java or Python, strong experience with Kafka including producing and consuming messages, familiarity with IoT protocols and sensor data integration, proficiency in developing APIs and integrating with backend services and experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.

Preferred skills include experience with frameworks such as Electron or Qt for desktop application development, knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing and familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries.

Qualifications:
