As a senior software engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and maintenance of our core applications. Your expertise in designing and implementing scalable systems using Go, Java, JavaScript, HTML, ReactJS, Redux, and AI toolsets will be invaluable to our growing engineering team.

We are seeking an individual with a strong understanding of software engineering principles and experience with various technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building high-quality, maintainable software and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time.

The successful candidate will have experience integrating or leveraging AI tools or services such as OpenAI APIs, vector databases, and LLM orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex. They will also be proficient in Go or Java and have experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Redux, Zustand, and Context API.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient and scalable database solutions utilizing relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). Write efficient queries and understand database performance optimization techniques.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Contribute to improving team processes and suggest improvements to development workflows. Actively participate in knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience with AI tools or services.
  • Proficient in Go or Java.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with AWS (or other major cloud provider) services.
  • Familiarity with Temporal workflow orchestration technologies.
  • Understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
