Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Lahore or Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server and Oracle database management, with additional expertise in Data Warehousing solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining SQL Server and Oracle databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and security. Key responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, and optimizing SQL Server & Oracle database systems, along with implementing advanced backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Experience:

  • Proficiency in SQL Server Database Administration (installation, configuration, maintenance)
  • Strong knowledge of reporting services and ETL tools
  • Expertise in Data Warehousing solutions, including dimensional modeling and OLAP
  • Database performance tuning and optimization (query plans, indexing, partitioning)
  • Advanced backup/recovery strategies (Always On, Log Shipping, DR site management)

Required Skills:

Skills required for this role include strong problem-solving abilities, automation skills, familiarity with cloud database solutions, and excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation capabilities.

Education/Qualification:

  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in IT or Computer Science.
