Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering department. The ideal candidate will have a strong vision for the team and be able to promote best organizational patterns and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the engineering department, aligning with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the product manager to prioritize decisions around engineering staffing and the product roadmap.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of features, ensuring high-quality results while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of software quality and speed, making informed decisions to balance these competing priorities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in software development or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong technical skills, with expertise in software development methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD tools is a plus.
Qualifications / Nice to Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with popular development frameworks and tools, such as AngularJS, ReactJS, and VueJS.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS Certification.
  • CI/CD tools knowledge is a plus.
