At our organization, we are seeking a senior leadership professional to drive the development of accurate and timely estimates that align with our business objectives.

About the Role

The Head of Estimation will lead a team of estimators in delivering high-quality quotations and bids that meet our company's goals. This includes monitoring and controlling the estimating strategy, evaluating client specifications and terms, and providing advice on planning processes as required.

  • Key responsibilities include guiding the estimation team in preparing accurate and high-quality quotations and bids, evaluating client specifications, and assessing their credibility.
  • Providing advice on cyclical and weekly planning processes as required, reviewing the Tender / Order Review Checklist to guide the estimation team and ensure comprehensive consideration of policies, standards, pricing strategies, and procedures.
  • Allocating estimation resources considering workload and skill levels to meet quotation KPIs, engaging with stakeholders to improve estimation accuracy and project securing chances.
Requirements

A Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 1 (Motor Ship) or equivalent is required for this role.
