Automation Engineer: Development and Optimization of Manufacturing Systems

As an automation engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing manufacturing systems for various industries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving automation issues to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conducting regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities.
  • Providing training and support to operations teams on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Documenting all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems.
  • Preparing progress and root cause analysis reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in the field of automation as a PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning.
  • Experience in working with various PLC platforms and RTUs such as Schneider M580, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7, WinCC SCADA, WinCC OA SCADA, and TBOX RTU.
  • Experience in working with open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU, BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, DNP3, etc.
  • Familiarity with control panel wiring and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read documents and drawings related to control systems, i.e., P&IDs, layouts, Control Panel Drawings, and troubleshoot wiring issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • UPDA holder.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Preference for an international driving license.
