Regulatory Compliance Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage screening systems/initiatives, including Fircosoft for customer screening and payment screening.
  • Identify and escalate system control and compliance issues, assess related risks, and provide recommendations for resolution.
Problem Solving & Decision Making:
  • Create RCA documents for defects/incidents and provide permanent fixes/solutions.
  • Day-to-day management and ownership of key compliance systems/initiatives – Screening Solution across new locations.
  • Manage prioritized system enhancements/upgrades and automate functionalities based on possibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Proven knowledge in Fircosoft screening solutions and good understanding of Continuity, Trust, and FSK – Screen & Keep.
  2. Prior experience with De-rap, ERF, Pairing, Stripping detector is an added advantage.
  3. Awareness of global standards in AML, KYC, FATF, Sanctions is desirable.
  4. Strong Unix/Linux Shell Script programming knowledge and expertise in exploring tools to connect with Linux and Windows OS.
  5. Good knowledge in Windows batch scripting to automate file generation and file movement.
  6. Strong Oracle & MS SQL knowledge with SQL, PLSQL, and knowledge in Perl scripting.
  7. Customizing reports based on compliance/business requirements and strong system integration experience.
  8. Banking domain knowledge is essential, along with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  10. Awareness of regulations governing bank's business process is a must.
  11. Knowledge of working with various database formats and file formats, conducting data analysis and analytics.
  12. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with skills in Dot Net Sharepoint, Power BI being a nice to have.
  13. Working knowledge with software development methods and techniques, adaptable to Agile model.
  14. Good knowledge of UNIX OS, programming languages, and development tools.
  15. Strong technical knowledge in required application area.
  16. Bachelor's Degree as a minimum from a recognized university (preferably computer science or similar).
  17. Financial Crime qualifications is an added advantage.
  18. At least 3 - 8 years of experience in the financial services or IT sector.
  19. Familiarity with Compliance and Financial Crime related systems.
  20. Prior experience and exposure to Fircosoft screening solutions.
