Overview

  • A company seeks an IT Support Specialist to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with installing and configuring hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. They will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, responding to service issues in a timely manner, and communicating with clients and users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and operation of small to medium-sized networks.
  • Configuring and installing various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS.
  • Administering corporate user accounts, managing mail servers, printer servers, and web servers.
  • Experience in systems management, monitoring, and sustainment, as well as hardware repair for servers, PCs, and peripheral equipment.
  • Implementing and administering Active Directory, DHCP/DNS/RADIUS servers, and expertise in Mikrotik and PFSense & Hardware Firewalls.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi hosts and Hyper-V.
  • Hands-on experience defining multiple virtual servers on a single host machine.
  • Blocking web/application access and preventing malware attacks.
  • Overseeing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Performing troubleshooting, archiving, and backups of the server.
  • Call center system knowledge with Asterisk server is a plus.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in network and system administration with a focus on security.
  • A strong understanding of G Suite (Google Workspace), including user management, email configuration, and administrative controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, and secure network architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with firewall technologies and VPN configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of server administration, system hardening techniques, and user authentication protocols.
  • Proficiency in configuring security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, encryption tools, and endpoint protection.
