Job Title: Cybersecurity Professional

The position of Cybersecurity Specialist is a vital role within an organization, responsible for safeguarding digital infrastructure, networks, and sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Assessment and Threat Management:
    • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and incidents to ensure proactive identification and mitigation of cyber threats.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses.
    • Develop strategies to address identified risks and implement them in accordance with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Security Infrastructure:
    • Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and anti-malware tools to protect against cyber threats.
    • Ensure endpoint protection and manage security patches for all systems to maintain optimal security posture.
  • Incident Response:
    • Investigate and respond to security breaches or incidents, documenting findings and providing recommendations for prevention.
  • Policy Development and Compliance:
    • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure adherence to industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Training and Awareness:
    • Provide cybersecurity training for employees to promote awareness of best practices and minimize human error vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with IT teams to ensure security measures align with business goals and communicate technical concepts and security risks effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
    • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
    • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
    • CompTIA Security+
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
    • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
    • Strong knowledge of network security, encryption protocols, and authentication systems.
