Medication Safety Professional

Description:
A highly skilled professional is sought after to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the medication safety program within our institution. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring patients receive medications that are safe, effective and appropriate.
Main Responsibilities:
- Medication Safety Management: Develop, implement and maintain medication safety policies, procedures and protocols in accordance with current best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Incident Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the collection and investigation of medication-related incidents, identifying contributing factors and developing corrective action plans.
- Training and Education: Educate pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals on medication safety best practices, error prevention and safe medication administration.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster open communication between pharmacy staff, healthcare providers and patients to improve medication safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of medication safety principles and regulatory requirements.
