
Quality and Patient Safety Specialist

The Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of medical records, identifying gaps in documentation, and implementing improvements to ensure compliance with JCIA standards and hospital policies. They will also participate in departmental Quality Improvement Committees, analyze institutional dashboard indicators, and validate data for quarterly reports. Additionally, they will facilitate monitoring and compilation of institutional KPIs and scorecards, support hospital leadership in accreditation processes, and contribute to internal surveys and mock audits.
">Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records for ambulatory and inpatient care, ensuring accurate documentation compliance with JCIA standards and hospital policies.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Participate in departmental Quality Improvement Committees, contributing insights and expertise to drive meaningful change.
- Analyze institutional dashboard indicators, including JCIA measures, clinical and managerial metrics, and patient safety goals, to inform strategic decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration, quality management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of postgraduate experience in a leadership role within the healthcare industry, preferably in quality assurance or patient safety.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and synthesize information into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, and patients.
