Job Title: Compliance Advisor

Overview:

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.

  1. Strive to improve the organization's overall compliance by implementing processes, policies, and standards.

  2. Conduct regular internal reviews and audits to ensure that processes and policies are being followed.

  3. Review ongoing project work to identify potential compliance issues and provide expert advice on compliance matters.

  4. Identify areas of potential vulnerability and risk; collaborate with process owners to implement corrective actions and resolve compliance issues.

  5. Act as an independent body to investigate, record, and resolve compliance concerns within the organization.

  6. Monitor and coordinate compliance activities across departments to stay informed about compliance status and identify trends.

  7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance system, including processes, policies, and communication channels.

  8. Ensure that compliance procedures and policies are adhered to and continuously improved.

  9. Support process owners and HR in creating an effective compliance training program, including introductory training for new employees and ongoing refreshers.

  10. Ensure ISO 9001 certification and other relevant standards are in place and strictly adhered to within the organization.

  11. Prepare management reports on compliance operations and progress, consolidating review/audit report findings and action plans for senior management review.

  12. Provide a confidential point of contact for employees to discuss and report compliance matters anonymously, seek clarification on compliance-related issues, and highlight potential risks.

  13. Collaborate with the process improvement team to embed compliance and controls within processes and assist in implementing new processes.

  14. As needed, contribute to improvement projects and other assignments as part of the team.

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor Certification is a plus.
