Compliance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Compliance Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the localization, implementation, maintenance, and update of Compliance Policies, Procedures, and Processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the roll-out of a global Compliance Management System and key policies (e.g., Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest, Anti-Bribery & Corruption), ensuring alignment with laws, regulations, and business contexts.
  2. Support the assessment of sanctions risk exposure, oversee sanctions control processes, and help set global standards to manage and mitigate sanctions risks.
  3. Train new and current personnel on Sanctions Policies and other corporate compliance policies.
  4. Screen applicable sanctions lists using technology and software, evaluate and document results, and make risk-based decisions.
  5. Manage and lead compliance responses for non-compliance issues and initiate investigations into misconduct (e.g., whistleblower hotline, internal investigations).
  6. Adjust the Compliance Program to meet local requirements in alignment with global standards. Ensure all compliance obligations are defined, identified, documented, and updated.
  7. Ensure employee behaviors and compliance efforts adhere to global and local ethical and legal standards.
  8. Identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and risks, develop and implement corrective action plans, and provide guidance to prevent recurrence.
  9. Assess risk exposure of the entity by gathering information on potential risks impacting local entities. Quantify and qualify risks and maintain the risk register.
Requirements
  • ACCA qualified, CA part-qualified, BBA, MBA, or BSc Hons.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar or related field.
