Job Description:

The Junior Database Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and availability of our databases. This includes collaborating with the development team to optimize database usage, query profiling, indexing, and file layout.

  1. Perform performance tuning and optimization, including query revision, index rebuilding, database cleanup, and reconfiguration.
  2. Set up and manage replication topologies for high availability.
  3. Manage database security, including permission granting and revocation, and ensure security best practices are followed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience in database administration.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL programming, including writing functions, procedures, and complex queries.
  • Knowledge of database clustering technologies (AlwaysOn, failover clusters, mirroring, log shipping).
