We are seeking a skilled Industrial Relations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment relations and be able to effectively manage workplace issues.

About the Role

The Industrial Relations Manager will be responsible for investigating complaints related to employees, employers, and employment conditions in a fair and impartial manner. This will involve reviewing and providing submissions on employment relations legislation on behalf of the company, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will also work closely with management to develop strategies for recruitment, remuneration, learning development, health and safety, performance, and conduct. This will include promoting a positive work environment and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate complaints related to employees, employers, and employment conditions in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Review and provide submissions on employment relations legislation on behalf of the company, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for recruitment, remuneration, learning development, health and safety, performance, and conduct.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in handling industrial relations issues in a reputable organization, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment contracts, labor laws, industrial relations legislation, including the Employment Relations Act, employment court processes, and judgments.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams, promote open communication, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • MBA/MPA along with LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree from a recognized institution.
