Procurement Specialist

A key position in our organization is that of the Procurement Officer. This individual will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating purchase agreements, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
About the RoleThe primary duties of a procurement officer include identifying potential suppliers and vendors of goods and services, procuring goods or services that meet quality standards efficiently and economically, and developing plans for acquiring supplies, services, and equipment.
Responsibilities- Supplier Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to determine their ability to meet our needs.
- Purchasing Management: Procure goods or services that meet quality standards efficiently and economically.
- Supply Chain Development: Develop plans for acquiring supplies, services, and equipment.
- Negotiation: Analyze and negotiate vendor agreements, including terms and pricing.
- Record Keeping: Maintain procurement records, pricing data, and inventory management.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventories and replenish supplies as needed.
- Delivery Coordination: Ensure prompt delivery of orders.
- Data Entry: Record order details (vendors, quantities, prices) in internal databases.
This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role and will be familiar with vendor sourcing, evaluation, and liaison.
Requirements- Qualifications: A degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Business Management would be beneficial.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
- Skill Set: Strong negotiation and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with vendor sourcing, evaluation, and liaison.
