Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Lead Data Engineer to own the design, development, and management of data pipelines, orchestration, and cloud operations for all data initiatives. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data across platforms.

About the Role:
  • Design and Architecture: You will lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data solutions and data pipelines to support analytics and AI applications.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience in engineering and managing cloud-based data infrastructure, primarily within Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with AWS or Azure is a plus.
  • Data Pipelines: Build and manage proprietary data pipelines from various sources, ensuring data quality, scalability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, cloud platforms, and machine learning operations, and will bring strong leadership and technical expertise to help scale our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Machine Learning Operations (MLOps): Oversee data ingestion, monitoring, and serving for machine learning models.
  2. CI/CD Automation: Implement and manage automated pipelines for fast deployment of data solutions.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to ensure data accessibility and accuracy.
  4. Cloud Data Warehousing: Administer and optimize cloud data warehouses like BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake for real-time and batch processing.
  5. Vendor Management: Manage integrations with third-party software vendors and data providers.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years in Data and Cloud Engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Strong experience with cloud architecture, preferably GCP; familiarity with AWS or Azure is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, ETL, and automation.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehousing solutions like BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake, and managing data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
