Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing their own teaching and learning skills, and contributing to the planning of teaching programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meet annual targets assigned by the department head.
  2. Work towards appropriate targets set by the Dean/Principal of the University to secure a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students.
  3. Teach assigned courses as per faculty workload policy.
  4. Continuously develop your own teaching and learning skills and contribute to the planning of teaching programs.
  5. Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  6. Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
  7. Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements.
  8. Set, mark, and assess work and examinations while providing feedback to students.
  9. Maintain the record of students' academic performance for internal evaluation in the Examinations.
  10. Mentor students as part of the Riphah Mentoring Program.
  11. Update data in various software systems as required.
  12. Incorporate Islamic and ethical values in teaching and participate in departmental and university committee activities as required.
  13. Ensure that teaching content and delivery methods align with the University mission and respond to issues related to subordinates and student needs.
  14. Supervise and conduct random checks of student attendance in classes/labs/practicals.
  15. Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using appropriate media.
  16. Seek practical applications of research findings.
  17. Carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader.
  18. Act as a line manager, supervising the work of others in research teams and projects, or as a PhD supervisor when required.
  19. Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head.
