Production Planning Manager Role Overview
">We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to oversee the development and implementation of master production schedules and plans in our manufacturing environment. This key role will be responsible for ensuring efficient allocation of manpower and equipment to meet established deadlines, as well as managing material continuity to the plant.
">The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in developing and maintaining a master production schedule and plan in an ERP system within a manufacturing setting. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes.
">This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop proactive solutions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Create project schedules and review production schedules for each manufacturing department
- Develop and maintain a program plan in the ERP system
- Review contract labor requirements and organize outside resources as needed
- Responsible for standardizing build practices to eliminate waste and develop process improvements
- Reporting and monitoring of production on a daily basis
Qualifications:
">- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
- 5+ years minimum operations experience in manufacturing industry
- Proficient in using scheduling and resource planning software and ERP systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Action oriented proactive thinker and problem solver
- Odoo ERP software implementation experience is an asset
