Purchasing Strategist Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Purchasing Strategist to drive the development and implementation of effective purchasing strategies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials while maintaining optimal costs.

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to meet business objectives.
  • Managing daily procurement activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, and other critical factors.
  • Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs, preventing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Ensuring all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing budget forecasts and managing resources to optimize allocation.
  • Improving procurement systems and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Training new employees in the procurement process and how to use the procurement system.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to procurements, suppliers, and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar position.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management principles.
  • Supervisory and management experience, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
