Job Overview

The role of Senior Full-Stack Developer entails envisioning and implementing crawlers/APIClients that aggregate complex, graphical data into comprehensible descriptions of social networks.

This position requires architecting efficient and reusable backend-end systems that drive complex web applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Envisioning and implementing highavailability, highthroughput backend systems.
  • Collaborating with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling products.
  • Identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues.
  • Mentoring junior full-stack engineers.
Requirements
  1. Experience with JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, and types.
  2. Experience with Python, including asynchronous programming, meta-programming, types, and scientific Python.
  3. Deep expertise in at least one major web framework.
  4. Experience with building scalable APIs and optimizing the performance of complex SQL queries touching millions of data points.
  5. Experience with E2E testing, such as Cypress.
  6. A growth mindset and ability to balance longterm engineering objectives with immediate development needs.
  7. Highly collaborative with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to write documentation and understand its value.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  2. Interest in sociology, anthropology, evolutionary psychology, game theory, or related fields.
  3. Interest in design, user experience, or related fields.
  4. Interested in and familiar with some online cultures, subcultures, memes, etc.
  5. Power user of some social media platforms and/or member of some online communities.
  6. 1+ years experience writing serverless applications on systems such as AWS Lambdas.
