We are seeking a highly motivated software professional to work closely with our CTO, Software Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver exceptional results and drive product innovation forward.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Python, AWS/Azure & Databricks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable systems focusing on performance, scalability, and stability
  • Building and deploying infrastructure to support complex applications
  • Developing and maintaining high-quality codebase following engineering guidelines
  • Leading code reviews, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to knowledge sharing
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. Additionally, they will be able to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapt quickly to changing requirements, and work effectively in a team setting.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of strong coding experience in python
  • Minimum 3+ years of advanced experience building system-critical components in python
  • Hands-on experience designing and building REST APIs and managing inherent challenges
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Cloud Technologies (Azure / AWS)
  • Data Warehouse design, tools, and techniques
  • Some experience with Databricks – this is our primary data store
  • Strong data modeling skills – Entity Relationship Diagrams, normalization, de-normalization
  • Data loading/Integration from multiple sources
  • ETL (Extract Transform Load) process
  • Data governance and best practices
  • Knowledge of Big Data Concepts such as NoSQL databases
  • Experience building scalable and high-performance systems
  • Good understanding of design patterns across back-end and integration
  • Knowledge of data engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with data visualization and exploration tools
  • Good understanding on Version control tools; Git and Git workflows
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment)
  • Experience in complex, large-team technical environments where issues require prompt resolution and strategic actions
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to build and strengthen working relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment of product discovery and development
  • Positive, proactive mindset that is passionate about succeeding and expanding your skillset
  • Good to have knowledge or experience of Microservice-Architecture
  • Nice to have React experience
