Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Grants Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the research administration department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of grant-funded projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead fleet management, travel, and accommodation sections; research staff and faculty; and ensure services are prepared for start-up.
  • Negotiate with departments for timely grant checklist completion.
  • Provide advice and guidance on sponsored projects administration.
  • Act as liaison between PI and Office of Research and Graduate Studies.
  • Conduct sessions for PI and senior research staff on due diligence process updates.
  • Review proposals in light of institutional and granting agency requirements.
  • Manage high-volume proposals and subawards involving complexity.
  • Resolve modifications issues and audit subcontracts for funding allocation.
  • Ensure closeout processes for completed projects.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with researchers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of grant-funded projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification in research and grants administration is an added advantage.
  • At least three or four years' experience in Finance, Research, and Grants Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of research administration, US Federal and non-Federal sponsors, and applicable regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply sponsor, institutional, and departmental policies.
  • Excellent working experience with award mechanisms, including grants, contracts, and Purchase Orders.
