The role of Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting is a vital position within our organization.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the centralized accounting functions relating to our subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and banking regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, as well as maintaining the integrity of our accounting and management information systems (MIS). This includes reviewing and approving financial reports, conducting variance analyses, and identifying areas for process improvements.

In addition, the Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting will be responsible for managing staff and occupation/administrative expenses, preparing sundry accounts, and investigating deviations in general ledger and subsidiary accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the centralized accounting functions for our subsidiaries.
  • Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.
  • Ensure the integrity of our accounting and MIS systems.
  • Review and approve financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analyses and identify areas for process improvements.
  • Manage staff and occupation/administrative expenses.
  • Prepare sundry accounts.
  • Investigate deviations in general ledger and subsidiary accounts.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and management reporting, preferably in a computerized environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and banking regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with Flexcube Core Banking system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills.
