">About the Role:
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Agro Quality Assurance agenda. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the compliance of all agro raw materials with applicable standards, ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.
">Main Responsibilities:
">- Lead the development and implementation of quality monitoring systems for agro crops, including potato crop from sowing to consumption.
- Implement PepsiCo's Agro lab project in the field for chip stock potato, potato seed, and corn purchasing season.
- Develop and deliver training programs for Agro and QA staff on potato testing, storage, and transportation.
- Ensure timely testing and decision-making for potatoes and materials received at site.
- Maintain strategic monitoring of potato quality in stores to ensure extended use.
- Plan and execute Agro SQA agendas considering the significant number of farmers.
- Audit storages to ensure best practices and maintain records.
- Regularly sample storage potatoes through YSI and mini-frying to assess overall quality and make decisions based on defects levels.
- Collaborate with R&D and supply chain teams on raw material development projects.
- Track farmer performance, conduct meetings, and develop action plans for improvements.
- Liaise with Agro field teams to combat quality challenges during growing seasons.
- Drive capability agendas for farmers and staff on agro commodity handling practices to minimize post-harvest losses.
- Monitor and track Agro QA budget against plan.
- Manage potato lab operations in shifts.
- Coordinate with Cold store, Process, and Operations QA teams on potato testing, results sharing, and uninterrupted production runs.
- Implement quality and food safety standards in potato labs.
- Ensure reproducible testing results with proper data records.
Requirements:
">The ideal candidate should possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Agronomy, or Horticulture. They should have good knowledge of material testing and quality assessment, as well as familiarity with quality and food safety standards.
">In addition, they should have 2-4 years of experience in FMCG, with skills in efficient and comprehensive approaches, auditing, influencing, communication, facilitation, innovation, and understanding key business drivers.
