Overview

Under the direction of company management and agricultural experts, support farmers to produce seed and chip-stock that meet international standards of PepsiCo for crisp (chips) processing.

Responsibilities
  • Crop scouting and follow-ups with recommendations to growers.
  • Provide farm advisory services to build farmers' capabilities from sowing to harvesting and post-harvest handling.
  • Ensure good agricultural practices are followed on farms producing potatoes for PepsiCo.
  • Provide visibility of crop performance in the field and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in training sessions and forums showcasing best practices and facilitating their adoption among growers in Pakistan.
  • Build growers' capacity to adopt the Sustainable Farming Program and implement its agenda.
  • Assist growers in preparing farms for 3P audits of SFP according to the audit cycle.
  • Support the Agro regional manager in variety trials, evaluations, and other research activities as needed.
  • Develop new areas to extend the fresh potato supply window, reducing reliance on storage and ensuring high-quality fresh potatoes.
  • Implement SQA journey with seed and chip stock traceability from seed to finished goods.
  • Train field teams and farmers' staff on crop best practices.
  • Promote machinery use at field operations to benefit both growers and the business, ensuring cost-effective crop quality.
  • Manage specific potato projects and programs aimed at improving yields and quality under supervision.
  • Assist farmers in better crop management through farm visits and advisory services.
  • Support the Agro Regional Manager in procurement of AOP volumes.
  • Assist in potato variety field trials across Pakistan.
  • Support field testing, data collection, and handle grower complaints and suggestions.
  • Provide general advisory to growers without endorsing specific brands.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
  • Recommended: Agriculture Graduate with a Master's Degree in Production Sciences, including PBG, Agronomy & Plant Science, Soil Sciences, or Horticulture.
  • Knowledge of potato-growing regions, farmers, and crop management.
  • Technical knowledge of pest control.
  • Fluent in English and local languages.
  • Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindset.
  • 3-4 years of supervisory experience in an agribusiness company.
