Odoo Developer Role

This position involves the adaptation and implementation of Odoo across various departments, including HR, Finance, Digital Marketing, and Helpdesk.

The role requires designing, developing, and deploying Odoo applications and modules to meet the company's business needs, with a strong focus on data migration and backend integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. System Customization & Development: Design, code, and test new and existing Odoo modules and applications tailored for different departments. Develop custom workflows, reports, and dashboards.
  2. End-to-End Implementation: Manage the full lifecycle of Odoo implementation from requirements gathering and analysis to development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  3. Integration: Integrate Odoo with other internal and external systems, including third-party APIs and services, to ensure seamless data flow and business processes.
  4. Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for the Odoo system, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal performance.
  5. Data Migration: Lead data migration from legacy systems to Odoo, including migrating accounting data, CRM data, ticketing and maintenance data, and HR data.
  6. Training and Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation and provide training to end-users and administrators.
  7. Certification: Lead the certification process for Odoo modules to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  8. Code Management: Use version control systems to manage code and collaborate with the development team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Odoo Developer with a strong portfolio of successful implementations and customizations across multiple modules.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of the Odoo framework.
    • Strong command of XML, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
    • Expertise in PostgreSQL database management.
    • Familiarity with web services (REST, JSON, XML-RPC).
    • Experience with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
    • Knowledge of Git for version control.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Desired Skills (Good to Have):
  • Experience in a similar IT role.
  • Familiarity with business processes in HR, Finance, Digital Marketing, and Helpdesk.
  • Odoo certification is a plus.
