This job description outlines the responsibilities, qualifications, and skills required for an Odoo Developer who will be responsible for the end-to-end adaptation and implementation of Odoo across ExpertFlow . This role involves tailoring Odoo modules to meet the unique needs of various departments, including HR, Finance, Digital Marketing, and Helpdesk.

Position Summary

The Odoo Developer will be the key person responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Odoo applications and modules to meet the company's business needs. This role requires a strong understanding of Odoo's framework and the ability to customize it to support a wide range of business functions with a critical focus on successful data migration and backend integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Customization & Development: Design, code, and test new and existing Odoo modules and applications tailored for different departments, such as HR, Finance, Digital Marketing, and Helpdesk. This includes developing custom workflows, reports, and dashboards.
  • End-to-End Implementation: Manage the entire lifecycle of Odoo implementation, from gathering requirements and analysis to development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Integration: Integrate Odoo with other internal and external systems, including third-party APIs and services, to ensure seamless data flow and business processes.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for the Odoo system, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Data Migration: Assist with data migration from legacy systems to Odoo. This includes :
  • Migrating all accounting data from Appsheet/Bidstruct.
  • Transferring all CRM data (contacts and companies) from Hubspot.
  • Migrating ticketing and maintenance data from OTRS.
  • Moving all HR data from BambooHR/Zoho Recruit.
  • Training and Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation and provide training to end-users and administrators.
  • Certification: Lead the certification process for Odoo modules to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Code Management: Use version control systems, such as Git, to manage code and collaborate with the development team.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Odoo Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful implementations and customizations across multiple modules.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of the Odoo framework.
  • Strong command of XML, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL database management.
  • Familiarity with web services (REST, JSON, XML-RPC).
  • Experience with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
  • Knowledge of Git for version control.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Desired Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience in a similar role within the IT industry.
  • Familiarity with business processes in areas like HR, Finance, Digital Marketing, and Helpdesk.
  • Odoo certification is a plus.
