Freight Broker Role

We are seeking a seasoned freight broker with exceptional service skills to act as a liaison between customers and freight carriers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing new accounts, expediting the sharing of information and documentation between customers and carriers, and communicating with dispatchers and carriers to track the status of loads.

To succeed in this position, you should maintain current knowledge of freight carrier services and possess effective customer orientation and multitasking abilities. Top applicants are able to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Serve as a liaison between shippers and carriers to secure transportation of goods.
  • Conduct marketing efforts to attract new customers, pair customers with freight carriers, book orders, and schedule carriers for loading.
  • Collaborate closely with the Dispatch Department, Carrier Onboarding Department, and Floor Manager to achieve daily/monthly targets.

Key Qualifications:

Requirements

Experience: 1+ years of work experience in a similar role (i.e., Freight Broker and/or Dispatcher in Logistics and Supply Chain Management).

Skills: Excellent English communication skills, familiarity with transportation management software, excellent problem-solving abilities, outstanding people skills, proficient negotiating skills, and demonstrated ability to meet targets.
