Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Manager role at our organization is a key position that oversees the accounts payable department and staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and supervise the accounts payable department and staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management: The ideal candidate will oversee functions such as maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
  • Tax Compliance: We require someone to ensure tax-related processes are in place, supporting AM taxation to ensure proper tax withholding and clearing of tax GLs in the software.
  • Payment Transactions: This role involves overseeing all payment transactions, keeping track of the status of all transactions within the company and with external vendors and contractors.
  • Process Improvement: We aim to standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house, creating internal templates for use by the company.
  • Customer Service: As a critical component of this role, providing quick and accurate communication on customer service matters is essential.
  • Query Resolution: Ensuring quick resolution of each query within a reasonable time frame is crucial.
  • Aging Minimization: We need someone to minimize payable aging agreed on payable terms by improving systems and ensuring compliance with policies and SOPs, and minimize advances in aging by ensuring timely submission of bills of adjustment after an internal audit.
